Measure the delay
Separate firmware startup, Windows loading, and post-sign-in delay. Each stage has different causes.
Review Startup apps
Use Task Manager to sort startup items by impact and disable only optional apps you recognize.
Finish pending updates
Partially completed updates can lengthen startup. Install supported updates, restart, and allow maintenance to finish.
Check storage and errors
A failing or overloaded system drive can delay boot. Back up important data and review drive health before deeper changes.
Use clean boot for diagnosis
A clean boot can help isolate third-party services, but record changes and restore normal startup afterward. Do not permanently disable essential services.
These steps provide general educational guidance and cannot guarantee a repair. Software cannot physically repair failed storage, damaged memory, overheating components, broken connectors, or liquid damage.
